Notice the decimals: at common tempos, a beat almost never lines up with a whole number of frames. - Half-time feel. A "140 BPM" trap beat often feels like 70 because the snare lands on beat 3. Cut aggressively on every 140th beat and the video feels frantic against a laid-back groove.
